What I believe…

Is there a specific topic you want to know my position on? Please reach out and I am happy share.

All students must have access to a quality education. Students must be able to learn in a safe environment, both physically and mentally.  Students are equals but not the same.

A strong public school system helps build a stronger economic and social community. I support parents leading their students' educational paths, which may include homeschooling, private education, virtual education, or our local district.

A student's education is not a spectator sport. Parents, educators, admins, school boards, and students must collaborate to ensure success. Success is measured not only by test results but should be defined for an individual student.

It is a parent’s right and responsibility to shape their children's moral compass, not the public school system. I do not favor government overreach in the school or my personal life.

The school board's primary responsibility is to provide governance and leadership within the school district. The board must ensure we stay aligned with the strategic plan.

School Board members must advocate for our students’ needs and drive positive change.

School board members must understand how current events and policies impact the school. Like our students, we must be willing to learn and understand to make informed decisions.

A school board must partner with the community for feedback to understand the district's needs. All decisions must be made with one thing in mind: "How will this help our children achieve their academic success?"

The school board must have clear goals and a mission and require self-development for its members. A school board's actions directly impact the student's learning experience, so board members must hold themselves to a higher ethical standard.

Transparency equals less confusion and builds strong collaborative relationships.
